Van Gaal produces document to prove that West Ham played more long balls than Man Utd
But manages to disprove his own theory:

Van Gaal’s dossier of A4 sheets does show that Manchester United played almost twice as many long balls as West Ham – 83 against 45 – and that 24.2% of their passes were of that manner compared to 22.5% for their opponents.

looks like just IN the other post of this all he shows is that they played more long balls then we did
